Luis Mendoza

"I have a passion for people and connecting with them."

Luis Mendoza currently serves as the New Media Director for the Keep A Breast Foundation where he oversees the development and implementation of all digital outreach initiatives. He has a strong interest in the intersection between Technology, Entertainment and Philanthropy. Among the multitude of "hats" he wears, he is the resident social media and tech geek.

With over 9+ years of extensive touring experience most notably on the Vans Warped Tour, Luis has established a great understanding for executing successful Lifestyle Marketing campaigns that reach and engage the much sought after Millenials and Post-Millenials. Past brands and companies include: SmartPunk, Hot Topic, Shock Magazine, Energizer, Alternative Press Magazine, Denny's and Macy's American Rag.

With over 10+ years of experience in the music and entertainment industries, Luis focuses on Touring, Brand Marketing, Sponsorship Activation, Digital Marketing, Social Media Strategy, Web Design, Content Creation & Strategy, Blogging, Grassroots/Guerrilla Marketing and New Media.

He is also an experienced Graphic Designer having graduated with a BA in Art from California State University Northridge in 2009.

Luis also loves the South By South West Conference held every year in Austin, TX. With over 15K+ followers on Twitter, Luis has positioned @SouthByFreeNoms (an unofficial free food and drinks guide) as a SXSW must-follow influencer and curator. It has been featured on many blogs and websites including Mashable, Buzzfeed and Austin360.

He was published in MySpace/OurPlanet: Change Is Possible in 2008 highlighting his work on the Vans Warped Tour while working for Energizer. (Yeah, when MySpace was cool.)

Luis resides in the Silverlake area of Los Angeles and bikes daily to the Keep A Breast Foundation loft offices in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District. He loves everything Joss Whedon, biking, food, hats, comics, CrossFit, and is really darn good at Dance Dance Revolution. He hopes to one day adopt a Boston Terrier and name him Oswald.
